- Do I need any separate software to run the reports?
- No, Mirtrak administration and reports creation/viewing is all web based.
- Can I create sites and locations to reflect my organisation?
- Yes, Sites and Locations can be created in the Mirtrak administration console which is web based.
- Can I use different modules in different locations?
- Yes, with Mirtrak web based administration you can create different event tracking configurations which can be applied to the Site, Location or individual computer. (This is based on which modules you have purchased).
- Can I run reports based on a computer’s IP Address?
- Yes, Mirtrak will report on computers IP addresses throughout the relevant reports. It also has a historical IP report that will allow you to identify IP addresses that were assigned to computers.
- Will Mirtrak tell me which of my computers are being underutilised?
- Yes, the User and Computer module has extensive reports on which users and computers have been utilised.
- Does Mirtrak have a report which shows the most visited websites?
- Yes, Mirtrak Web activity reports includes includes Top Website Usage report which quickly allows you to ascertain the most popular websites by domain.
- Can Mirtrak track websites from portable browsers?
- Yes, Mirtrak not only tracks the portable application which will appear in the application report, it will also track the web activity which will be available in the web reports.
- Can Mirtrak categorise the websites being tracked?
- Yes, Mirtrak Web tracking includes over 80+ categories of the most common domains. There are various reports that can be run based on these categories.
- Does Mirtrak report on “cyber bullying”?
- Yes, Mirtrak’s “Word” tracking module allows words defined within a Mirtrak dictionary to be reported on silently. Mirtrak includes a base dictionary of “Words” to allow the software to track from the outset.
- Can Mirtrak track applications users have on their USB sticks?
- Yes, Mirtrak can track applications run from a USB stick for example portable Firefox.
- Can I update the Words dictionary?
- Yes, the web based administration console allows words to be added, removed and has the ability to search through the dictionary to see if a word already exists.
- Which browsers does Mirtrak support?
- Internet Explorer 7, 8 and 9, Mozilla Firefox 3.6.x, 4.x, 5.0 and 6.0 and Google Chrome.
- Does Mirtrak support any other languages besides English?
- Yes, Mirtrak is a multilingual product and also supports French, Spanish and German. If you require support for another language please contact us to discuss your requirements.
- On which client PCs are Mirtrak supported?
- The Mirtrak clients support Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. The Mirtrak client is provided as an MSI and can be deployed using your existing package for the deployment of software.
- What database management system (DBMS) does Mirtrak use?
- Mirtrak uses Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and higher including the free express editions.
- Can the Mirtrak modules be purchased separately?
- Yes, any module can be purchased separately or added to an existing system at a later date.
